Our website provides
a quick description of each member club and a link
to their website. This organization is somewhat
unique in all of Canada in that 12 of the curling
clubs in and around Calgary meet regularly to
discuss common curling issues and marketing
opportunities. Local competitive events are also
listed as are places for those interested in curling
to well, curl.

Curling is fun - for everyone!
Visit the Calgary Curling Club, a premier curling
club in the city and a world class facility, which
is centrally situated on Memorial Drive across from
Prince’s Island. The Calgary Curling Club has been
located at 720 - 3rd Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta
since 1953. The original wooden structure was
destroyed by fire in October 1976, and the current
eight sheet facility was opened in November 1977 on
the same site. The Calgary Curling Club is a not for
profit organization that was incorporated in 1953
but dates back to 1888. The primary purpose of the
Calgary Curling Club is to provide a recreation
facility for utilization by the general populous of
the City of Calgary and area, via the organization
of evening leagues or rental of ice to groups and
organizations. Curling within the City of Calgary
encompasses ages from 6 to 80+ years. The Calgary
Curling Club is one of the most extensively utilized
clubs within the City of Calgary. The Club is
operational on a daily basis during the curling
season from 8:30 am to 11:30 pm. There are either 5
or 6 draw times per day scheduled on a regular
basis. The Club operates a Curling Academy program,
which provides instruction to both youth and adults
on a group and individual basis. Throughout the
years, several Southern Alberta, Provincial and
National Championships have been held at the Calgary
Curling Club. We are very proud of our members who
have been Canadian and World Champions.

Garrison Club
Club Information

The Garrison (formerly known as the CFB Curling
Club) was located within the CFB Calgary site but
with the closure of the Canadian Forces Base our
name underwent a change and the club was relocated
to a site adjoining the Calgary Centennial
Arenas.Although the GCC is the newest curling
facility in Calgary, the club has been in existence
since the early 1950’s and maintains it’s reputation
as being the friendliest curling club in town. We
have leagues and programs for all ages and all
abilities.

Club
Information - The league is open to
everyone of any curling level, from never having
been on the ice before to seasoned players. We
accept individual curlers and in an effort to
keep the team strengths equal we put together
teams based on curling experience and position
desired. Our league mandate is to have fun, help
each other learn the skills of the game, have
fun, enjoy some friendly competition and
a sociable beverage after the game, have fun and
never take yourself or any other player too
seriously. If you're the type to get upset
about a missed shot, this isn't your league, but
if you're looking to have fun, your in! North
Hill Curling Club, Tuesdays, 4:30-6:30 PM.

The North
Hill Community Curling Club is a not for profit
entity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
We cater to curlers (members and the Public) from
all over Calgary. Our business is only as a curling
club which operates from late September through to
early April. Most of our users are involved in
league play; although we will also handle
individual, family, social groups and Corporate
events as our ice availability permits.

The
CCA and CLCA continued as independent organizations until they
amalgamated to form the Canadian Curling Association in 1990.
Today, the CCA is recognized as the national administrative body for
curling in Canada by Sport Canada, the Canadian Olympic Committee
and the World Curling Federation. It is governed by a 10-member
board of directors. Provincial and territorial associations
nominate candidates to the Board, whose members are elected to
five-year terms by all CCA members.

Alberta Curling Association

Established in 1918.
It’s mission then and now is to develop and promote
the sport of curling. The Northern Alberta Curling
Association represents over 90 affiliated curling
clubs in Northern Alberta and each member club has a
voice in the NACA through their zone convenors. The
NACA operates through the dedication of two paid
positions, thousands of hours of volunteer time and
the goodwill of curlers.

The Oakridge Mixed
Curling club was founded in the SouthWest community
of Oakridge, but nowadays people from all over the
city join us for relaxed and sociable curling. Our
ice time is from nine PM to eleven PM on Friday
nights at the Inglewood Golf and Curling Club. If
you're looking to bring a whole team, or to find
others with whom to curl, by all means join us and
come out to have some fun. Even if you've never
curled before but want to learn, our Club has the
perfect atmosphere to become introduced to curling.

some fun curling! We have 8 sheets of ice and they
are maintained daily. We specialize in corporate
rentals, but the curling ice is also available for
league play, corporate team building events, and
private parties. Brooms and sliders are also
available for rental.
