Calgary Fish Creek Provincial Park, Mountain Park, Lake McKenzie Community Area

Back To More Calgary Parks

This portion of Fish Creek Provincial Park is located beside the Calgary communities of Mountain Park Estates and McKenzie Lake. The park follows the Bow river in both North and South directions and borders the McKenzie Meadows golf course. The paved bike path winds along the Bow river and throughout the park. This section of the park offers excellent bird watching, wildlife, and fly fishing opportunities. Large Rainbow and Brown Trout can often be viewed from the East side of the pedestrian bridge shown below. Bird watchers can spend hours here. Chickadees will take sunflower seeds from your hand, Woodpeckers seem to be every where, Great Horned Owls are often seen and a Wild Turkey was also located here.
