Calgary Crime Stoppers

Information - Crime Stoppers is a citizen, media and police co-operative program designed to involve the public in the fight against crime. Crime Stoppers provides citizens with a vehicle to anonymously supply the police with information about a crime or potential crime. A reward of up to $2000.00 is offered to anyone providing information, which leads to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property or the seizure of drugs.

ABCs of Fraud that is targeted to seniors and care providers

Information - CSRS provides programs and services that enable seniors to live independently in their own homes as long as possible. One of the programs offered by CSRS is Seniors’ Social Link (SSL). This program provides interactive social activities for isolated seniors. Many of these individuals live on a fixed income and in subsidized housing.

Calgary Block Parent Program

Information - The Block Parent Program originated in London, Ontario in 1968 following the abduction and brutal murder of a child. In 1975, two citizens from Forest Lawn enlisted the aid of two Calgary Police Officers to introduce the Block Parent Program in their community after a child had been abducted and found hanging in an auto-wrecking yard.
