It’s “DEATH BY CHOCOLATE” Ladies! Get your ticket before they sell out again this year. For only $25 it’s an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT ladies only chocolate themed night on Saturday April 26th (2008), to raise money for the Crossroads Pre-School. There will be chocolate fountains with loads of fresh fruit & other dunkin’s and delectable chocolaty delights from Cheesecake Café. Even the heartiest of eaters last year admitted there was more than enough to satisfy all cravings! Doors open at 7 o’clock and we can stay until the party winds down. Skip supper, because organizers promise you can start eating the moment you arrive! There are great door prizes, a silent auction and an alternate Raffle for a Cruise for TWO to MEXICO. Tickets available March 14th. Donations are still being accepted for the silent auction. YEE-HAW….Git on Yer boots! Country Line Dancing is coming back to the Crossroads Community Hall. A new 10 week session of classes starts April 21st in the upper hall from 7:30 to 8:30 Monday nights. Whether you are 3, 30 or 95, sign up now for “CROSSROADS GOT TALENT”. Did someone say there will be celebrity judges? Saturday, April 13th is your chance to strut your stuff at the Crossroads Community Hall. If it’s nice enough, we’ll even set up the stage outside for all the world to see!
Along with the brave entertainers there will be games for all in attendance because it’s not just a talent contest, it’s a “SPRING FLING”! We’ve got a jumbo bouncer for those with extra energy to burn or for those needing to burn calories after taking a stroll down the Girl Guides CAKE WALK! If cake isn’t your thing, how about some candyfloss at the concession? No membership is required and there are no entry fees. Just come on out and have a great time.

Crossroads Community Association’s next “JELLY BEAN DANCE” is Friday, APRIL 18th. The doors are now open for those in grades 1 through 7. For just $3.00 you can rock from 6:30 until 9:00 and have a chance to win some cool door prizes. Don’t worry mum & dad, there’s adult supervision and a concession too!
Need to load up on some carbs? Get your tickets now for the Crossroads 36 Scouting Troop’s “SPAGHETTI DINNER & SILENT AUCTION” on Saturday May 10th at the Crossroads Community Hall.
For adults it’s only $10 for a heaping plate of food that includes Caesar salad, garlic toast, a beverage, dessert and of course SPAGHETTI with your choice of two sauces. Even better, seniors and kids 12 & under pay $5 per ticket. If you want to bring the whole family for a wholesome night out it will only cost you $25 for mum, dad and two kids. It’s FREE for kids under three.
After supper, the scouts and their leaders will have an interesting presentation to show you exactly how you support them through bottle drives and events like this dinner and silent auction. The Scouts will take some of the younger ones into the smaller hall where there are games planned for kids…almost like a babysitting service. For some extra excitement Scouts will also sell tickets for your chance to take a trip in the money tunnel.

It’s been far too long since craft fair season, so we’re having one at the Crossroads Community hall. The “SPRING CRAFT & BUSINESS FAIR” runs Saturday May 10th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. There is a concession if you want to sit and have a snack as well. If you are interested in renting a table for the event, call Inga McLean at 860-5240 or e-mail inga@senicelectric.com. Tables are only $20 for community members and $25 if you aren’t.
