Message from the President Of Taradale

MARCH/APRIL 2010

Hello Taradale residents!  We are fast approaching spring and all the good things that come with it.  Sunny days, melting of snow banks, and the sound of children playing after a long cold winter.  In the approach to spring, we are planning a few events that we know you will all be excited about.  The first event we are organizing is a Community Clean-Up, similar to what our neighbouring communities do on an annual basis.  Working with the City of Calgary, we will be having a day where they will bring in their garbage trucks and all residents are welcome to come and drop off their unwanted junk for FREE for all community members.  Not a member?  Not a problem!  Membership is only $10 for the year and has many advantages.  The tentative date is set for May 15, 2010.

We are also planning our second annual “Trunk Sale” which was a huge success last year.  We will be having one each at the Castleridge and Saddleridge Safeways.  Last year it was a wonderful event with lots of sales and even a BBQ and a real band that came to play.  Please look out for bold signs and updates on our website.

A reminder that children will be on Spring/Easter holidays at the end of March/beginning of April.  Please be aware and abide by the speed limits in school and playground zones.  We encourage all residents to become a part of the Taradale Community Association.  We meet every second Wednesday at the Taradale Co-op in the upstairs community/board room at 7pm.  If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please email taradaleca@gmail.com.
