TOD (Transit Oriented Development)

“The City of Calgary has begun a program of land use planning studies for areas surrounding existing LRT stations. In the city’s northwest, the LRT stations currently under consideration are Lions Park, Banff Trail and Brentwood. The purpose of the study is to produce strategic land use plans that will direct the right kind of development in the vicinity of these LRT stations.” - City of Calgary poster, January 2008

Don’t worry if you missed the City-hosted information sessions, on February 6^th and February 9^th, 2008. Most of the open house info is also available on the city’s websites.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the March 1^st Visioning Workshop, but you must register for that by February 21^st. You may also want to apply (by February 21^st) to participate in the Land Use Planning Exercise for Lions Park, on April 5.
