Let’s
envision our future, together!
A World Café-style engagement session will be held to
explore the goals and desires of stakeholders and residents
in Renfrew, Crescent Heights, and Bridgeland-Riverside. What
would you like to see along
Edmonton Trail between Memorial and 16th Ave
NE? How would you like the space to feel in 20-30 years? You
are invited to come and share your vision. We want to hear
from you!
Community
Planning Matters! Come be a part of the discussion.
Senior undergraduate Urban Studies students, under the
supervision Dr. Geoff Ghitter, will develop community
visions after exploring the goals and desires of this
tri-community at a World Café-style engagement exercise. The
students will then unite the communities’ ideas with best
practices in planning and development from around the world.
They will generate sustainable scenarios for the
neigbourhood’s future with a focus on Edmonton Trail and
present them to the communities later this spring. The goal
is to provide a set of tools and original ideas for the
community to draw on as they pro-actively engage in
community redevelopment. The collaboration helps initiate an
interest in community visioning, as well as educate
community residents as to possible future scenarios and
urban planning concepts.
This will be a public engagement visioning session for
community stakeholders and residents from Renfrew, Crescent
Heights, and Bridgeland-Riverside offered in conjunction
with The Federation of Calgary Communities and The
University of Calgary.
Join your neighbours on February 2nd at 9am, at the Renfrew
Community Hall at 811 Radford Road, NE. Sign-in begins at
8:30am. Refreshments will be provided.
