The PCA Newsletter Frequency of Publication and Distribution (1) The Parkdale Community Association (PCA) Newsletter will be regularly published and distributed at least six (6) times a year, in the first or second week of February, April, June, August, October, December. If the newsletter is not received by the 15th day of the issue month, please contact your editor at 270-8579 or by e-mail (wingd@telus.net). (2) Special issues of the newsletter may be published and distributed in between regular editions to deal with time-sensitive, high impact information. (3) The deadline for regular newsletter submissions will be the 10th of each month prior to issue month, e.g., January 10 for February issue. (4) The PCA Newsletter will be distributed to all residences, institutions, and commercial establishments within Parkdale boundaries. It will also be delivered to “West Park”, the portion of West Hillhurst west of Crowchild Trail NW to 28 Street NW. A complimentary copy will also be provided to Point McKay’s Condominium Boards for their information and distribution as they see fit. The circulation is approximately 1,500. (5) Each issue of the PCA Newsletter will also be posted on the PCA portion of the Federation of Calgary Communities (FCC) website (http://www.calgaryarea.com/nw/parkdale/parkdale.htm). Submission Procedures and Guidelines (1) The Deadline for all submissions is 5:00 pm on the 10th of each month prior to the issue months of February, April, June, August, October, December. (2) Submissions may be delivered in hard copy to the Parkdale Community Association Office, 3512 – 5 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 0V7, or electronically sent by e-mail to the editor (David Wing - wingd@telus.net). (3) Submissions must be typed (MS Word is preferred). No handwritten submissions will be accepted. Submitters are to include their contact information (name, phone number and e-mail address). The names of authors will be put on published articles, both in the newsletter and on the website. (4) Space restrictions may not always allow for the publications of all submitted material. Editing may be necessary. Authors will be contacted when editing is required and will be asked to review edited submissions. (5) Anyone who believes they have (or know of) a newsworthy item that would be of interest to our Parkdale community residents, should contact the editor at wingd@telus.net . or 270-8579. Advertising Rates for “copy ready” advertising is outlined below. Advertisers are to submit their advertising to the PCA Office, along with payment, by the submission deadline. Classified Ads “Classified Ads” are reserved for private individuals residing within the Parkdale Community Newsletter distribution area wishing to advertise a product or service. The rate charged will be $10.00 for PCA members, $15.00 for non-members for ads up to three lines. Additional lines are $5.00 per line up to a maximum of 50 words per ad. There will be no charge for lost and found ads. A maximum of two (2) ads an issue will be allowed to any individual or group. The deadline for classified ads is 5:00 pm on the 10th day of the month prior to issue month.
