Community Gardening Plots Are Available for the 2013
Season: 4 X 5 lots ($35) and 4 X 6 lots ($40)

obtaining a garden plot this year. Some membership
conditions may apply.
Ranchlands Community 8th Annual Spring Clean-Up.
Saturday May 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the
Ranchlands Community Centre, 7713 Ranchview Drive NW
(opposite Seven-11, corner of Ranchview Drive ad
Ranchlands Boulevard). We accept scrap metals,
electronics, bedframes, unwanted furniture (indoor
and outdoor), appliances (no refrigeration equipment
unless purged and tagged), household chemicals (used
oil, propane cylinders, paints, etc.), tires, lawn
mowers, and small engines (fluids drained), wood
decks/fences, and so much more! No household
domestic waste please! For questions or to
volunteer, please call Peter at 403-239-1377 and
leave a message with your name and a contact number
where you can be reached.

NeighbourhoodWoods Update: Our tree planting day
will be Saturday, June 22, at 9:30 a.m. at the
Community Centre. All approved tree stewards
must attend in order to receive the tree and
watering bag. There will be a demonstration on how
to plant your tree, placing the mulch and caring for

Once a month, fresh fruits & vegetables, ordered and
paid for in advance, can be picked up at the Good
Food Box Depot at St. James Anglican Church at 6351
Ranchview Drive NW Three sizes: small ($20), medium
($25), and large ($30). All have the same fruits and
vegetables in different amounts and varying with
availability. Orders must be placed in cash at the
church by 4:00 p.m. on or before May 24 for June 5
pickup and on or before August 30 for September11
pickup. Note: No food box in July or August.
