VRCA Board of Director Position DescriptionsVRCA Board of Directors are elected for a two year term. Incumbent directors are eligible for re-election to a single second term. Incumbent directors are also free to be nominated to other open Directorships. Residents of Valley Ridge are encouraged to volunteer and actively participate in their community. The only requirement for election is full membership in the VRCA. The following positions are open for election or re-election at the April 7th, 2008 AGM. The President supervises the affairs of the Board and, when present, chairs all meetings of the VRCA, the Board and the Executive Committee, is an ex officio member of all Committees, acts as the spokesperson for the VRCA, and has signing authority for financial instruments. This position is vacant. The Planning and Development Director is responsible for all development and planning activities affecting the community under the name of the Association. This position is vacant The Community Events Director is responsible for organizing all social programs and sponsored events in Valley Ridge. Christa McKegney is up for re-election in this position. Directors-at-Large are responsible for undertaking tasks on a need basis. One Director-at-Large is responsible for managing the Membership database and liaises with the Soccer Group to keep the membership list up to date. Two Director-at-Large positions are vacant.
