Varsity Scholarship Program

The Varsity Community Association Scholarship Program was launched in
2000 as a means of recognizing young Varsity residents who were leaders
in their school and community as volunteers.

To be eligible, students must be residents of Varsity, are graduating
from Grade 9 or Grade 12 in any Calgary school, are committed to
attending an educational institution in the fall, exhibit a strong sense
of leadership in volunteer activities in Calgary and can demonstrate
that they are helping build our community one step at a time.

Applications must be received by the Varsity Community Association by
May 31st each year and the winners will receive their scholarship at
their school's graduation or award ceremonies.

Four Scholarhips are awarded annually; two scholarships of $400.00 for
graduating Grade 12 students and two scholarships of $200.00 for
graduating Grade 9 students.

Thanks to the following donors, the Varsity Community Association is the
first community association in Alberta to offer such a program in
support of youth.
