A great way to prepare for babysitting jobs is to take a babysitting training course offered by St. John Ambulance (250-2922) or the Red Cross (U of C 220-7749 or Child Safe Canada 202-5900). Local community and recreation centres also offer the courses on a regular basis. The babysitting-training courses are offered to youth 11 years and older.
