Calgary Police are alerting residents of a trend
that is again starting to pop up in many communities
around the city.
Car prowlers are entering vehicles that are usually
unlocked and are using the garage door openers to
enter into the attached garages where they will
proceed to prowl the vehicles inside the garages and
to steal various items.
The most common items that are being taken
are bikes, purses, ipods / iphones and other
valuables that are left within the vehicles.Please
be diligent in ensuring that all valuable are
removed from all vehicles and to remember to not
leave the garage door opener accessible and visible
to culprits. As always, if you spot a crime in
progress, call 9-1-1.
