Calgary offers a large variety of sports clubs for all ages with a wide range of general interest clubs for children and adults. Several of these organisations are city wide while others are administered at a local community level. All of the local community sports, excluding general interest clubs may require a community association membership. Check with the individual sports clubs for their registration, membership and general information.  

Calgary Community Football

Calgary Bantam Football

Calgary, AB

Club Information – The Calgary Bantam Football Association is a full contact tackle football league for youth’s aged 13 to 15 years. The league is comprised of 14 teams, 9 of which are in Calgary and 5 which encompass the surrounding communities. The rural teams are based in Airdrie, Chestermere, Okotoks, Cochrane and Canmore. All teams play their games at Shouldice Park in northwest Calgary.

 

Calgary & Area Peewee Football

Club Information – We are a full contact developmental football league for children aged 10 to 12 years old. The PeeWee League has been in operation since 1996, at that time we had only 4 teams on the schedule. We are now pleased to say that there are 14 teams within the city of Calgary and the surrounding areas of Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane and Okotokos. Communities: City Wide and surrounding areas of Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane and Okotokos.

 

Calgary Broncos Athletic Association

Club Information – To provide and encourage the opportunity for youth to participate in amateur recreational football, within the boundaries as stated by the CBFA, and to provide the necessary equipment, lands and/or buildings to promote friendly, social activity. Communities: City wide.

 

 

Calgary Cowboys

Club Information – The Cowboys Football program began in 1983 with a Bantam team in the Calgary Bantam Football Association. Since that time we now have a PeeWee team, in the Calgary and Area PeeWee Association, and a Midget team, in the Calgary and Area Midget Association. This provides approximately 150 players from the northwest area of the city an opportunity to play organized full contact football. Communities: Arbour Lake, Banff Trail, Bowness, Brentwood, Briar Hill, Capital Hill, Charleswood, Collingwood, Dalhousie, Hawkwood, Hillhurst, Montgomery, Parkdale, Ranchlands, RockyRidge, Royal Oak,Scenic Acres, Silver Springs, Sunnyside, St. Andrews Heights, Tuscany, University Heights, Valley Ridge, Varsity.

 

 

Calgary Cyclones Bantam Football

The Calgary Cyclones are a part of the Calgary Bantam Football Association. This is a full contact tackle football league for youths aged 13 to 15 years. All teams play their games at Shouldice Park in Northwest Calgary. The motto of the Calgary Wildcats Football Club is Pride, Courage and Intensity. We have focused on building discipline and leadership skills to provide our athletes with a foundation to build on as they move through their formative years. We believe that successes in the form of winning championships are empty without the development of good life skills. No doubt some of our players will go on to play football at a very high level, but those who don’t will also be members of teams at school, in the workplace and elsewhere where these skills will be equally important. We are an indoor flag football league in our 10th season. We play out of the calgary foothills soccer centre located at 3916 56 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2B5. We’re a 5 vs. 5, four down league comprised of two divisions with approximately 10 teams per division. Communities: City wide.

 

Hilltoppers Football

Club Information – Hilltoppers Football is a tackle football program for ages 10-15 in the North Calgary area and consists of 3 teams, Pee-Wee (10-12yrs.), Bantam (13-15yrs.) & Midget . The Pee-Wee team is a member of the Calgary & Area Pee-Wee Association, the Bantam team is a member of the Calgary Bantam Football Association and the Midget team is a member of Calgary and Area Midget Football Association. Communities: North Calgary.

 

NW Mavericks Football

Club Information – The Mavericks Football program offers young athletes (aged 8 to 18) the opportunity to Play Football. Sport Stitch Mavericks are associated with the Calgary Midget Football Assoc, Calgary Bantam Football Assoc & Calgary and Area Pee Wee Football Assoc. Midget level include players age 15 to 18 (Grade 10 and 11), Bantam includes players aged 13-15 and Pee Wee players age 8-12. Midget/Bantam and Pee Wee home field is at Edgemont Community 6911 Edgemont Dr NW. The Midget season runs April to June, Bantam & PeeWee Aug running to Nov. Communities: MacEwan, Hidden Valley, Edgemont, Panorma Hills, Country Hills, Hamptons and Citidal areas.

 

South Calgary Colts Football Association Bantam

Club Information – The Bantam Colts are a dedicated group of athletes and coaches who put their heart and soul into the game of football. Each member of our club plays a very significant role in the success of the team. The Bantam level runs under the Calgary Bantam Football Association, (age 13-15) and is proud to say since starting up in 1970 we have held the title of City Champions 8 times. As a Colt you will be exposed to a high intensity of football. Communities: Bonavista, Cranston, Willow Park, Maple Ridge, Parkland, Sundance, Midnapore, Chaparral, Deer Run and Queensland.

Club Information – The Flag League.com is a non-contact flag football program for boys and girls ages 8-16. Runs May/June, we are a spring program committed to develop young athletes socially, mentally, and physically in a safe and motivating sporting environment.
